Bwindi receives a new gorilla baby at Buhoma sector.

The legendary Mubare gorilla family was the first to be habituated in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The habituation commenced in 1991 up to 1993 when it received its first tourists who conducted the first gorilla trekking safari after they went through a successful habituation training process that lasted 2 years.

Mubare mountain gorilla family was named after the beautiful Mubare Hills where it was discovered. Apparently, if you want to see the new-born baby and track the members of this family, you can contact Jewel Safaris and we shall arrange the bookings properly to ensure that you track the intended group.

The addition of this latest baby gorilla means that the gorilla conservation success story is just getting better thanks to the efforts of the Uganda Wildlife Authority and other conservation partners, not forgetting you the travellers who have always paid for gorilla safaris thus availing the resources that have assisted in the conservation process.

To see the new-born baby, you will need to get a mountain gorilla tracking permit that guarantees you to enter the park and have a close encounter with the gorillas.

Get in touch with Jewel Safaris and we arrange for you to visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where the new-born infant and mum live. We are ready to take you to meet the latest addition to the Mubare family.
