Location of Kasubi tombs.
Kasubi tombs are located in the center of the Buganda kingdom about 5 kilometers from the city. These tombs were formally used as a palace by Kabaka Muteesa I but after his demise, he was buried inside and that’s how Kasubi tombs permanently became the burial grounds for the Buganda kings and other prominent personnel of the kingdom. It ceased being a palace from that day forth.

These peculiarly decorated tombs with the middle having pole-like structures that spell out the representation of 52 clans in Buganda also has series of acts that can raise anybody’s urge to ask every question so as to expound and know everything in the place. For instance, there is a fire point inside the tombs that are lit ever and the only rationale for the lit fire is to warm the spirits of the befallen kings.
There are also several musical instruments in here that are said to be put in place to be played occasionally to entertain the befallen kings who loved their Ganda music. The kings that are resting here include; Kabaka Muteesa I, Kabaka Muteesa II, and a few more making them four in total.
