The two national parks where gorilla tracking takes place are Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. These are therefore the only two places from where you can conduct the gorilla filming activity.

Unlike mountain gorillas trekking safari that gives you only one hour of close contact with the mountain gorillas, gorilla filming avails you the permission to hang around the giants of the Bwindi jungles for either an hour or four hours depending on whether you pay for gorilla tracking or gorilla habituation.

To cut off the stress characterized by overcrowding, those filming are exclusively allocated a particular gorilla family, capturing extraordinary moments in life as they get a chance to film the mountain gorillas.

With fewer than 900 mountain gorillas remaining on earth today, about half of them live in Uganda, making it one of the best destinations in the world to do mountain gorilla filming. Gorilla filming today is done to basically create awareness about the value of conserving these unique species of mountain gorillas in the world.
