Detailed Itinerary – 4 Days Chimpanzee trekking safari and Wildlife tour Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 1: Airport pick up and optional zoo and botanical gardens visit
On your arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by your safari guide then later transferred to the hotel with options of visiting the Botanical gardens for a nature walk, Reptile village for more reptile viewing, or the Zoo for behind the scenes (The activity that brings you closer to these animals).
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale and Bigodi Swamp walk
After our morning breakfast, we start our drive that can last for about 6 hours to Kibale forest. Along the way, there are lots of things to see like; Lake Wamala, different cultures, Fruit markets, and hot lunch along the way before checking in at the hotel.
Later in the afternoon, we shall go for a Bigodi swamp walk in search of primates like; Red-tailed monkey, Red- colobus monkey and L’hoest’s monkey, and other bird species like Narina Trogon, Pied Hornbill, Yellow Spotted, Hairy Breasted, and Yellow-Billed Barbets.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and evening boat cruise
After breakfast, we shall move into the Forest for Chimpanzee trekking. The activity starts at 8.00 am in the morning. A half-day search for chimpanzees and other primates including L’hoest’s, Red-tailed colobus, Blues, and black and white colobus, and grey-cheeked Mangabey swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies, and many small insects.
The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters. After this wonderful experience, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range most of the journey through other beautiful crater lakes and in the evening do a boat cruise on Kazinga channel for aquatic viewings like Nile crocodiles, hippos, Nile monitor lizards, and a fishing village visit before retiring back to our hotel.

Day 4: Game Drive and departure to Kampala.
Early morning wake up for the morning game drive to catch up with early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. During the game drive, you will be likely to meet breathtaking Uganda wildlife like grazing hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas, bushbucks, waterbucks, Side-striped jackal, leopard, banded mongoose, and several warthogs. We shall later transfer back to Kampala via Mbarara with an equator experience.
