4 DAY GORILLA TREKKING TOUR AND SAFARI IN VIRUNGA AND HIKING BISOKE VOLCANO

 

 

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kinigi

 Our safari guide will meet you at Kigali International. Depending on your arrival time, your driver/guide may suggest you a visit of Kigali city tour such as visiting the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi. You will then continue to Kinigi at the Transfer to Kinigi at the bottom hills of the Volcanoes. Overnight at Virunga Lodge/ Kinigi guest house/Mt Gorilla Nest Lodge (FB)

 

Day 2: The Tour tracking gorillas

 After breakfast, depart to the park Headquarters where you will meet your ranger guides for briefing. After briefing, get ready for gorilla tracking tour in Virunga National par tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a thrilling experience. If you are lucky you can get to the gorillas in just few minutes, spend an hour with them, and be back at the lodge!  Some gorilla families however are more elusive, and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is muddy and wet.

After the trekking, if time allow have lunch at Ruhengeri and an excursion to explore the beautiful lakes in the region (Lake Bulera & Ruhondo). Overnight at Virunga Lodge/ Kinigi guest house/Mt Gorilla Nest Lodge (FB)

 

Day 3: Hiking the Bisoke (3.711 m)

 Hiking the Bisoke starts early in the morning. A park ranger will accompany you to the top of the volcano. On a clear day you will enjoy the beautiful Crater Lake and the views of the other Virunga volcanoes. Incredible views in all directions, shady bamboo forest, lushly forested slopes and an exciting climb.

 After your trip transfer to Kigali for overnight at any hotel of your choice.

 

Day 4: Kigali tour and Departure

 You will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to Kigali Airport for your flight. Depending on your departure time, if you missed the opportunity on your first day, you will have Kigali city trip including the visit of the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gizozi. Thereafter transfer to the Airport for your departure flight.

Day 3-The Game Drive and Boat Cruise After breakfast, you will be driven to northern part of the park for a game drive. Day 3 After break fast, we shall move into the Forest, for Chimpanzee trekking. The activity starts at 8.00 am in the morning. 1 DAY TO JINJA (SOURCE OF THE NILE)
In order for you to enjoy this safari you are supposed to arrive early in the morning at Entebbe international airport. This is where you shall meet with our guide for a small briefing.
