4 DAY GORILLA TRACKING IN VIRUNGA & VISIT OF THE DAINE FOSSEY GRAVE (BISOKE)

 

 

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kinigi  

 Our safari guide will meet you at Kigali International. Depending on your arrival time, your driver/guide may suggest you a visit of Kigali city tour such as visiting the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi. You will then continue to Kinigi at the

Transfer to Kinigi at the bottom hills of the Volcanoes. Overnight at Virunga Lodge/ Kinigi guest house/Mt Gorilla Nest Lodge (FB)

 

Day 2: Gorilla tracking Tours

 After breakfast, depart to the park Headquarters where you will meet your ranger guides for briefing. After briefing, get ready for gorilla tracking in Virunga National par tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a thrilling experience. If you are lucky you can get to the gorillas in just few minutes, spend an hour with them, and be back at the lodge!  Some gorilla families however are more elusive, and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is muddy and wet.

If you have the energy this afternoon, take an excursion to explore the beautiful lakes in the region (Ruhondo & Lake Bulera). Overnight at Virunga Lodge/ Kinigi guest house/Mt Gorilla Nest Lodge (FB)

 

Day 3: Visit of the Diane Fossey grave (Bisoke)

 This morning, you will report to the head office for your trip to slopes of the Bisoke and pay a visit to the former Karisoke centre where the grave of Dian Fossey is situated. Fantastic views, lush forested slopes and an outstanding environment. After the trek you will be driven to Kigali for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 4: Kigali tour and Departure

 You will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to Kigali Airport to meet your departure flight.
