9 DAYS TO LAKE MBURO, BWINDI, QUEEN ELIZABETH, MURCHISON FALLS AND ZZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY.
Day 1:
On your arrival at Entebbe airport you will be welcomed by Jewel Safari representative who shall head you to your hotel booked before your arrival date.
Day 2: Depart for Lake Mburo and game drives
You will be picked from Kampala in the morning after breakfast and drive across the Equator through Uganda’s rolling green hills to lake Mburo National park (the drive will take approx. 5 hours).we shall have lunch, we will do a boat ride on lake Mburo and a late afternoon game drive in search of zebra impala, eland, topi, oribi, cape buffalos, and with luck, Roan antelopes, leopards, hyenas and jackals.
Dinner and over night at Rwonyo Rest Comp.
Day 3: Depart for Bwindi
After an early breakfast at the lodge, we head through the county sides of Kanungu and continue on to Bwindi, impenetrable Forest National Park, home of the mountain gorillas. In the evening we shall walk to the near by community for a cultural performance.
We over night at Buhoma community Banda’s.
Day 4: Gorilla tracking
In the morning continue with the Bwindi impenetrable National Park which is the home to roughly half of the world’s 650 mountain gorillas. We will start hiking early with the game rangers and do your best to find them – but remember, there is no guarantee because this is nature and the time taken hiking depends on the movement of these apes! The gorillas are shy, peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph these gentle giants at close range.
We return to Buhoma community Banda’s.
Day 5: Depart for Queen Elizabeth
After breakfast we will leave Bwindi early and depart for queen Elizabeth National Park. We’ll pass through the southern sector of the park known as Ishasha, famed for its tree- climbing lions. This National Park is a UNESCO World Biosphere and has one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game reserve in the world! Almost 100 mammal species and a remarkable 606 bird species can be found. Elephants, Lots of hippos, the elusive giant forest hog and the handsome Uganda kob al regularly sighted. In the afternoon, we will take a visit to the crater regions.
Dinner at the Institute of Ecology.
Day 6: Morning game drive and launch cruise
The launch cruise along the kazinga channel Morning game drive and back to the lodge for mid morning breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon go for the launch cruise along the Kazinga channel. This will expose you to diversity of schools of hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species, back to the hostel for dinner and over night.
Day 7: Tracking habituated chimps
After a brief morning game drive, we depart after breakfast and enjoy game viewing en-route towards Kibale Forest National Park. Take lunch in the afternoon we drive into Kibale Forest National Park to hike with a guide who will provide detailed explanation of the primates we are likely to see as we;; as the forest’s fauna and flora. On our half-day hike we will look for chimpanzees, phoestes, redcolobuses and red-tailed and grey cheeked mangabeys.
Day 8: Hikes at the top of the falls
Drive to Murchison Falls national park visit the top of the falls on arrival Dinner and over night at Red chills Camp.
Day 9: Morning game drives and launch cruise
The launch cruise along the mighty Nile River an early Morning game drive and an afternoon launch cruise to Masindi and go watch Rhinos and track them. Have launch, and then proceed to Kampala then to Entebbe for your next flight back home.
