Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival, transfer to Arusha/have a tour in Arusha town

Arrive most probably at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet your Tanzania tour guide for transfer to hotel in Arusha. Depending on the tie of arrival, you check in at hotel for overnight and dinner or tour Arusha. The Arusha tour is a short trip lasting only about 3 hours walking on foot with a professional tour guide. During the tour, see several sites like the Natural History Museum, monuments, local markets and craft shops. After the tour, be transferred to booked hotel in Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: From Arusha, transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast at hotel, an allocated Tanzania tour guide will be at hotel or place of residence for pick up and briefing on the trip. After briefing, you will then be drive to Lake Manyara National Park. After arrival at the park, you have lunch then proceed for an afternoon game drive.

The park is home to the shallow soda lakes which attracts a variety of wildlife species including one of Africa’s largest concentration of elephants. One of the unique attractions in the park include the tree climbing lions as well as the large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. After the game drive, you transfer to a booked hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: From Lake Manyara transfer to Serengeti National Park

Start the day with breakfast then transfer to Serengeti National Park driving through the beautiful high lying farmlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Serengeti plains are at times referred to as endless because of the vastness of the park. Arriving at the park during lunch time, you will proceed to the visitor centre close to the Seronera lodge. From the visitor centre, you start seeing wildlife and proceed for lunch. After lunch, you later on go for an afternoon game drive around the kopjes with a number of lions. Transfer to booked hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full day experience at Serengeti National Park

Have breakfast then go for a full day game drive in the serengeti plains. The game drive takes you along the Sogore River circuit which twists into the plains south of the Seronera River. Since this is a water area, wildlife collects in this area to quench its thirst. Some of the wildlife animals to look out for here include lions, Thomson gazelle, topi and cheetahs.

After the morning game drive, return to hotel for lunch or have picnic lunch. Later in the afternoon take a game drive on the kopjes. After this evening game drive, return to a preferred accommodation facility for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast at hotel in the Serengeti, you will be transferred to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There will be a stopover at the famous Olduvai Gorge which boasts with history dating back to the start of humanity. At the Olduvai Gorge is where anthropologists Dr Louis and Mary Leakey discovered skulls of the early man.

By lunch time, you will arrive at the Ngorongoro Conservation area and have lunch at a hotel. Boasting a high population of wildlife, the Ngorongoro crater offers spectacular wildlife viewing sights. Late on you visit Lake Magadi which is a large but shallow alkaline lake in south western corner that attracts the pink flamingos.

Transfer to preferred booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Have Ngorongoro Crater tour, picnic lunch and transfer to Tarangire National Park.

Following breakfast, you will head out to the beautiful Ngorongoro crater for a tour. Have a game drive in the crater then after enjoy picnic lunch at the famous hippo pool. After enjoying lunch with very spectacular views, you will then be transferred to Tarangire National Park.

On arrival at the park, check in and drive through the gigantic Baobab at the entrance, see the mischievous monkeys darting about in the shade. Continue inside the park to the Tarangire River that is lined with acacia and Baobab where wildlife cluster all day long. With the river being a collective point for most of the wildlife from the Masai steppe. Have a short game drive to your booked accommodation facility for Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Game drive at Tarangire and return to Arusha by evening.

Following breakfast at hotel, head out to the park for a game drive. Some of the animals that can be spotted here include the Greater kudu, Fringe-Eared Oryx and the Ashy Starling.

After the game drive, have picnic lunch with a view of the Tarangire River, but be watchful of your food as the monkeys will roam around. After lunch have another game drive then transfer back to Arusha.
