This 4 Days Uganda gorilla safari takes you to most famous mountain Gorilla Park Bwindi impenetrable national park for gorilla trekking. The park has more than 360 mountain gorillas, plenty of wildlife and hundreds of bird species. So gorilla trekking offers you great opportunity to penetrate the impenetrable Bwindi forest in search of the most endangered mountain gorilla. Not only will you see mountain gorillas but you view also wildlife.
Day 1: transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Pick up from the hotel by jewel safari professional driver who will meet you and brief you about the trip before setting off. He will introduce himself to you and exchange greetings and names. The journey will set off to Bwindi impenetrable national park and the first stopover will be at Uganda equator for historical photo shot and refreshment break. Proceed with the journey to Mbarara town where you will have lunch from Agip Motel hotel and after continue with view of Ankole long horn cattle and the terraced Kigezi highlands which is known as ‘’Switzerland of Africa’’. Arriving in Bwindi impenetrable national park and head to lodge to check-in have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: gorilla trekking
At 6:00am take African cup of coffee, organize your trekking equipment, and pack your packed lunch and drinking water. Set off to the park headquarters for briefing from the Uganda wildlife authority on the rules and guidelines of gorilla trekking. You will than enter the jungle with the guide who will lead you into the undergrowth, muddy and thick forest. The time taken in the jungle depends on how you find these moving gentle giants; it may take half hour to 5 hours that is why we encourage our visitors to carry packed lunch. Visitors are given chance of one hour with the mountain gorillas, taking photos, watching them and learning about them. After you will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Rules and Guidelines of gorilla trekking
- Anyone with communicable disease like flu is not allowed to trek
- Maximum of 8 visitors per group
- Avoid using flashlight cameras
- Children below 15 years are not allowed to trek
- Do not litter rubbish in the park
- Keep your voice low when with gorillas
- Avoid eating when with gorillas
- You should not stand next to gorillas, give them distance
- Viewing time allowed is one hour
Day 3: transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Take morning breakfast and then check-out the lodge for Queen Elizabeth national park drive via Ishasha sub-region where you might get an opportunity to see tree climbing lions and other animals. Upon arrival to queen Elizabeth national park check-in with Kyambura game lodge and have lunch then relax for while before setting off for boat ride. After relaxing head for game boat ride at the kazinga channel that connects Lake George and Edward. You will view crocodiles, hippos, buffalos, elephants and plenty of birds like African fish eagle. Return to the lodge, refresh your self have dinner and overnight.

Day 4: game drive in the queen Elizabeth national park-transfer to Kampala
Take morning breakfast and head for game drive where you will see variety of animals in the park that include tree climbing lions, elephants, giraffes and leopards to list the few. After game drive hit the road to Kampala with stop at Mbarara town for lunch in Agip motel. Proceed with the transfer reaching later and the driver will drop you to the hotel or airport. End of the 4 days safari.
