This 3 Days Murchison Falls Safari gets you an exciting opportunity to experience one of the best short lived Uganda safaris carrying out activities such as game drive in one of the largest national parks in Uganda viewing exciting wildlife species , top of the falls view of Victoria Nile and an exploration of the Nile conducted in a launch cruise seeing various water animals such as the the huge Nile crocodiles, hippos and several other wildlife and bird species usually seen on the shores cooling off after along day. The 3 Days Murchison Falls Safari is also ideal for visitors who are already in the vicinity of Kampala and Entebbe. As on the day of pick up, you will simply transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

Brief itinerary

• Day 1: Pickup from your hotel/airport pickup/transfer to Murchison falls national park
• Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise on the Nile.
• Day 3: End of safari.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Kampala>Murchison Falls National Park.  Have an early breakfast and set off from your hotel or place of residence as you embark on your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will pass through Luwero town before arriving in Masindi town in time for lunch. Shortly proceed to the park and drive through the grassy plains coming across warthogs and other wildlife. Proceed to  the top of the falls, another fascinating site with irresistible picture view. Get the view of the Nile as the fast water rushes and slaps the tiny gorge dropping almost 45 meters lower.

Later drive to the lodge for check-in, short relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 2:  Game drive and launch cruise on the Nile. Have an early breakfast at 6:00 am, later be picked by the guide and a game ranger and head for an early morning game drive. The drive gives possibilities of catching the early morning risers and big cats in action before they head back to their havens. Other animals you may see during the drive are Lake Chad buffalos, African elephants, Lelwel’s hartebeest, Nubian giraffes, oribis among other species. Common bird species include the Goliath Heron, African Skimmer and the Red-throated bee eater.

Head back to the lodge for lunch and to refresh as you prepare for a thrilling launch cruise on Victoria Nile. The cruise will expose you to species such as hippos, Nile crocodiles, African elephants, and Uganda kobs drinking water on the shores. The Nile also harbors several birds such as the Herons, King fishers and African fish eagles.

Later return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Murchison Falls >Kampala. Wake up in the morning and have breakfast at leisure. Later pick up your bags and check out. Exit the park and drive towards Masindi town. Proceed to Kampala, arriving in time for lunch. Shortly after lunch, optional drop off at your hotel or airport for your flight.
